Wendy Williams might be fighting to end her guardianship, but she’s also battling public disrespect—this time from the bench. During a recent court hearing on April 10, Judge Lisa Sokoloff allegedly told the former daytime diva that her career was “done.” Yes, she really said that.
Williams, 60, was reportedly hurt by the comment, especially considering her iconic run—from over 15 years in radio to her unforgettable reign on “The Wendy Williams Show” from 2008 to 2022. And it didn’t stop there. The judge also allegedly slammed Williams’ family as “no good” and accused her niece, Alex Finnie, of leaking confidential information—threatening legal consequences if it happens again.
Wendy’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, wasn’t having it. He pushed back hard, calling the judge’s remarks biased and “completely unrelated” to the actual case. “She is absolutely capable of returning to TV,” he said, defending Wendy’s future.
Williams, who’s been open about her dementia diagnosis and stay in a living facility, has publicly shared her desire to regain control over her life. Despite past medical reports, new capacity tests allegedly show she’s mentally fit and ready to step back into her power.
Say what you want about Wendy, but one thing’s for sure: counting her out is a mistake.
